I clicked home these beauties today! They are from Friis & Company and they are in the colour grey. I normally wear the size 37 but they only had size 38 left so I will try them and hope that they will fit and that they'll be as pretty on my feet as they look in this picture. And if not, I will at least be 13,5 cm taller than before ;) What do you think? Too much or just perfect!? ;)

Second hand shopping

Yesterday me and my mother went for some shopping. In town I found a really cool cap of black fabric and part leather at a nice price and some sewing stuff that I will need for my new career ;) After that we went to a second hand shop where I was ONLY going to buy a zipper. I came home with a lot of zippers, a scarf in beautiful colours, an old homemade necklace from the 60's/70's that I really adore, a dark blue belt and a yellowish fabric that I will sew and turn into a nice dress or something else that comes to my mind.

Hier ma mère et moi sommes allées faire un peu de shopping. En ville, j'ai trouvé une casquette faite de tissu noir et de cuir vraiment sympa, pour un tout petit prix et du matériel pour lancer ma nouvelle carrière ;) Après cela, nous sommes allées dans un magasin vintage. J'y étais entrée UNIQUEMENT pour acheter une fermeture-éclair. Au final, je suis rentrée à la maison avec des tonnes de zippers, un foulard coloré, un collier fait main datant des 60 (ou 70) que j'adore, une ceinture d'un magnifique bleu foncé et un tissu jaune que j'utiliserai certainement pour faire une petite robe ou quelque chose dans ce goût là.

The making of a skirt, part 1

I've always been interested in sewing but I have never really taking care of that interest and evolved it before. I have always sewed to correct and change my jeans and other stuff that I thought didn't really fit me but that's about it. Now I want to do something about this interest and I have decided to sew my own skirt from the beginning with an old fabric my mom had here at home. If this project turns out well I will try to continue sewing and eventually making a part of my own wardrobe myself. I like the thought of having peaces and patterns that no one else have.

If this on the other hand turns into a big flop I guess I will quickly loose interest and continue to buy everything in shops as I've done until now haha! Anyway, wish me good luck people! :)

J'ai toujours été intéressée par la couture mais je n'y avais jamais consacré de temps auparavant. J'ai à de nombreuses occasions travaillé sur mes jeans pour en ajuster la taille, mais c'est à peu près tout. Aujourd'hui, j'ai donc décidé de me lancer dans la confection d'une jupe à partir d'un ancien tissu trouvé dans les placards de ma mère. Si ce projet s'avère payant, je continuerais certainement mes créations dans le but de compléter ma garde-robe. J'aime l'idée de porter des vêtements uniques et personnalisés.

En revanche, si cette manipulation tourne au flop, je suppose que je continuerais à faire du shopping haha! Quoi qu'il en soit, souhaitez-moi bonne chance! :)

Forest people

Yesterday we decided to go out for a little ski tour down to the river. My darling has always wanted to try it and because we're soon moving it was now or never. An old jacket, some big pants and I was ready. As we don't have any skies of our own we had to borrow my parents old skies from the 70's haha! I used my fathers which was way to long for me, both the skies and the sticks. Jean-Baptiste spent more time on the ground than on the skies haha! (sorry darling) :) My mother and our dogs came along and she tried to take some pictures of us when we didn't look to stupid :)

Hier, nous avons décidé d'aller faire une petite session de ski de fond. Mon chéri a toujours voulu s'y essayer et étant donné que nous déménageons bientôt,c'était le moment où jamais. Une vieille veste, un large pantalon et hop j'étais prête. Comme nous n'avons pas de skis, nous avons emprunté ceux de mes parents, qui datent des années 70, haha ! J'ai utilisé ceux de mon père, bien trop longs (tout comme les bâtons d'ailleurs). Jean-Baptiste a passé plus de temps dans la neige que sur ses skis, haha! (désolé chéri) :) Ma mère et nos chiens étaient aussi du voyage.C'est d'ailleurs elle qui s'est efforcée de prendre des photos aux moments où nous n'avions pas l'air trop stupides :)

Voici quelques photos de notre interview accordée à un journal suédois. Pas forcément les plus beaux clichés, mais vous comprendrez pourquoi :) C'est un peu étrange de nous voir dans la presse, mais ce fût une expérience très enrichissante. Je recommencerais volontiers. Ride to France

Happy tuesday everyone! We're now staying at my parents house in my hometown Lycksele. Enjoying, relaxing and waiting to go to France next sunday to look for our future home. The move from our apartment was quite though, you never realize how many things you actually have until you're moving. Even if we have thrown away a lot of our stuff we still have a lot left and it's been difficult to find space for everything here in the house.

For our move to France we have bought a big (and hopefully reliable) car. It's a Volvo 855, T5 and we're hoping that it will take us all the way to France in april.

Joyeux mardi à tous ! Nous voici maintenant chez mes parents, dans ma ville natale de Lycksele. La décontraction est à l'ordre du jour en attendant de nous rendre en France pour rechercher notre futur appartement. Le déménagement fût difficile...on ne réalise jamais l'ampleur de ce qu'on possède jusqu'au moment de faire ses cartons! Même si nous avons jeté un nombre incalculable de choses, la maison de mes parents semble pleine à craquer.

Pour notre grand voyage, nous avons acheté une énorme (et espérons le, fiable) voiture. C'est une Volvo 855 T5 et nous croisons les doigts pour qu'elle nous amène jusqu'à destination en avril.
