Ride to France

Happy tuesday everyone! We're now staying at my parents house in my hometown Lycksele. Enjoying, relaxing and waiting to go to France next sunday to look for our future home. The move from our apartment was quite though, you never realize how many things you actually have until you're moving. Even if we have thrown away a lot of our stuff we still have a lot left and it's been difficult to find space for everything here in the house.

For our move to France we have bought a big (and hopefully reliable) car. It's a Volvo 855, T5 and we're hoping that it will take us all the way to France in april.

Joyeux mardi à tous ! Nous voici maintenant chez mes parents, dans ma ville natale de Lycksele. La décontraction est à l'ordre du jour en attendant de nous rendre en France pour rechercher notre futur appartement. Le déménagement fût difficile...on ne réalise jamais l'ampleur de ce qu'on possède jusqu'au moment de faire ses cartons! Même si nous avons jeté un nombre incalculable de choses, la maison de mes parents semble pleine à craquer.

Pour notre grand voyage, nous avons acheté une énorme (et espérons le, fiable) voiture. C'est une Volvo 855 T5 et nous croisons les doigts pour qu'elle nous amène jusqu'à destination en avril.

Boat trip to the "bloody islands"

On friday evening we went on a boat trip to les îles sanguinaires (bloody islands). One of the legends says that people with lepra were isolated on the islands not to spread the disease. In corsican language they used to call those people "sangui negre" which means the black bloods. The french people understood from that italian word "sanguinaire" (bloody) and kept this name for the islands.

It was a cool evening with nice views and we could also try corsican wine and local specialities. After the boat trip me and my darling had a little photo shoot on the beach. High heels and sand is not the best combination but we managed to get some nice photos and I had a lot of fun! :)

Vendredi soir, nous avons fait une croisière vers les îles sanguinaires. Une des légendes explique leur nom du fait que des lépreux y étaient isolés afin d'éviter que la maladie ne se propage. En Corse, ces personnes étaient appelées des "sangui negre" ce qui signifie sang noirs. L'Italien n'étant pas leur fort, les Français ont compris sanguinaires et ont gardé ce nom.

Cette soirée fut vraiment agréable, avec de très jolis paysages et la possibilité de déguster vins et spécialités culinaires de la région. Après la croisière, mon chéri et moi avons fait une petite séance photo sur la plage. Les hauts talons et le sable ne sont pas la meilleure combinaison, mais nous avons malgré tout réussi à obtenir de très belles photos et je me suis vraiment bien amusée.

Burgundy pants & Zara shoes

Hi people! I'm alive, I just needed a little break from my blog. I'm hoping to be able to update a lot more from now on ;) Other than that I've had a really nice weekend with a lot of good food and wine with my friends and the weather has just been amazing. Thanks Jasmine, Monica and Annica, It was cool to have some girl time with you! :) Soon we'll go back to our apartment to pack everything for our four weeks in France! :)

Bonjour tout le monde! Je suis vivante, j'avais juste besoin d'une petite pause. J'espère pouvoir updater mon blog de manière plus régulière à partir de maintenant ;) À part cela j'ai passé un très bon weekend avec beaucoup de bons petits plats, mes amies et un temps parfait. Merci Jasmine, Monica et Annica, c'était sympa d'avoir un peu de temps entre filles! :) Il est bientôt temps pour nous de retourner dans notre appartement pour faire nos valises pour nos quatre semaines en France! :)
