Ride to France

Happy tuesday everyone! We're now staying at my parents house in my hometown Lycksele. Enjoying, relaxing and waiting to go to France next sunday to look for our future home. The move from our apartment was quite though, you never realize how many things you actually have until you're moving. Even if we have thrown away a lot of our stuff we still have a lot left and it's been difficult to find space for everything here in the house.

For our move to France we have bought a big (and hopefully reliable) car. It's a Volvo 855, T5 and we're hoping that it will take us all the way to France in april.

Joyeux mardi à tous ! Nous voici maintenant chez mes parents, dans ma ville natale de Lycksele. La décontraction est à l'ordre du jour en attendant de nous rendre en France pour rechercher notre futur appartement. Le déménagement fût difficile...on ne réalise jamais l'ampleur de ce qu'on possède jusqu'au moment de faire ses cartons! Même si nous avons jeté un nombre incalculable de choses, la maison de mes parents semble pleine à craquer.

Pour notre grand voyage, nous avons acheté une énorme (et espérons le, fiable) voiture. C'est une Volvo 855 T5 et nous croisons les doigts pour qu'elle nous amène jusqu'à destination en avril.

Everything has to end

One of the last days in France we spent in Vendôme just walking around. Vendôme is a small but really beautiful city and even if we have spent a lot of time there I still find things as beautiful as the first time I saw them. In the evening we were supposed to go horse riding in the forest outside the city but we cancelled it because I recieved really bad news from Sweden which also ruined the rest of our vacation. That is also the reason why I haven't made a new post in such a long time.

Nous avons passé notre dernière journée à Vendôme à nous balader dans les rues de la ville. Vendôme est une petite mais très jolie cité et même si j'y ai séjourné pendant pas mal de temps je la trouve toujours aussi magnifique que le jour où je l'ai découverte. Ce soir-là, nous devions aller faire une promenade à cheval dans la forêt située en dehors de la ville mais nous avons dû y renoncer du fait d'une très mauvaise nouvelle reçue de Suède. Cette dernière a d'ailleurs ruiné le reste de nos vacances.

Corsica in my heart

On thursday me and my darling took a walk around Porticcio to take some pictures of this beautiful village. It looks like a dream and we have seen some very wonderful places. If we only had enough money a house up on the hill with a sea view wouldn't be the worst thing we could imagine! ;)

Jeudi, mon chéri et moi sommes allés nous promener dans les environs de Porticcio afin de prendre des photos de ce magnifique village. On aurait cru évoluer dans un rêve tant nous avons croisé d'endroits merveilleux. Si nous avions les moyens, une maison sur la colline qui borde la mer ne serait certainement pas la pire des acquisitions! :)

Sight seeing & dinner at a typical french restaurant

On saturday we went to see L'Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées and it was beautiful as always. After that we took a boat (Bateau mouche) to see Paris from the Seine. Everyone enjoyed the view and that we could sit down and rest our feet for a while. In the evening we went to J-B's mother for some champagne and snacks and after that we went to a typical french restaurant where we ate and probably drank too much haha!

Samedi nous sommes allées voir l'Arc de Triomphe et les Champs Élysées. C'était magnifique comme toujours. Après cela, nous avons pris le bateau (bateau-mouche) pour voir Paris depuis la Seine. Tout le monde a apprécié la vue et la possibilité de pouvoir reposer ses pieds. Pendant la soirée, nous sommes allés chez la mère de J-B pour prendre l'apéritif et nous sommes ensuite allés dans un restaurant français typique où nous avons sans doute trop mangé et trop bu haha!
