2 weeks in town

Yesterday we went to our friends apartment in town, they will be in Mykonos for two weeks and we're gonna stay there and take care of their cats during this time. It's nice to live in the centre and to have the opportunity to do more things and also go for spontaneous shoppings whenever you want :) They also have the best massage chair ever which I'm sure will be used frequently.

Right now we're watching the football game and relaxing. I came back a little while ago after spending time with friends for shopping and dinner, I just love those moments!

Nous sommes arrivés hier soir chez nos amis qui habitent en centre-ville. Ils sont partis à Mykonos pour deux semaines et nous allons donc rester ici pour nous occuper de leurs chats. C'est vraiment sympa d'avoir l'opportunité de faire plus de choses et de pouvoir faire quelques séances de shopping improvisées quand on en a envie :) Nous disposons aussi de la meilleure chaise à massage qui soit qui sera, j'en suis sûre, utilisée fréquemment.

Nous nous relaxons maintenant devant le match de foot. Je suis revenue il y a peu d'une après-midi et d'un diner avec des amies, j'adore ces moments!

Needed a little escape from home

Hi people! I haven't been that active on my blog the past couple of days. It's because I have an infection and I'm on antibiotics right now and have to stay home from work for two weeks. I'm really tired as I don't sleep and eat as I should. Just hope the medication will make me feel ok soon. I'm bored of just staying at home so today we decided to go to Gammlia here in Umeå. It's a place with a museum and old buildings from the 15th, 16th and 17th century. All of them are from the region and are put together in one place for everyone to enjoy it. It felt really good to be outside for a while and feel the warmth from the sun :) Tonight we'll just stay at home, maybe eat something nice and watch a movie together.

Bonjour tout le monde! Si je n'ai pas été très active sur mon blog ces derniers jours, c'est parce que j'ai attrapé une infection, que je suis sous antibiotiques et que je suis arrêtée pour deux semaines. Je suis vraiment fatiguée du fait que je n'arrive pas à dormir et à manger comme je le devrais. J'espère que les médicaments vont faire effet rapidement. J'en ai vraiment ras-le-bol de rester à la maison et c'est pour cela que nous avons décidé d'aller à Gammlia aujourd'hui. C'est en endroit où l'on trouve un musée et de vieux bâtiments du 15ème, 16ème et 17ème siècle. Ils viennent tous de la région et ont été regroupés à un seul endroit. Cela m'a fait énormément de bien de sortir et de sentir la chaleur du soleil sur ma peau :) Ce soir nous allons rester à la maison, sans doute manger un bon repas et regarder un film ensemble.

Dinner and football in town

Yesterday evening we decided to go to town to have dinner and watch the football game between Spain and Italy at the same time. We ordered hamburgers and fries and I ate too much as always. During the game I asked my boyfriend to take a picture of me with my I-phone and of course he missed the spanish goal thanks to that (nice timing Helena!). Anyway, we had a nice evening and after the cold bike ride back home it was cozy to just cuddle up in the couch under a blanket and watch a movie together.

Hier soir nous avons décidé d'aller en ville pour manger un morceau et regarder le match de foot entre l'Espagne et l'Italie. Nous avons commandé des hamburgers avec des frites et comme toujours, j'ai bien trop mangé. Pendant le match, j'ai demandé à mon copain de me prendre en photo avec mon I-phone et bien entendu, il a manqué le but  espagnol à cause de cela (bon timing Helena!). Nous avons malgré tout passé une bonne soirée et après le retour en vélo dans le froid, cela fût très agréable de se glisser sous la couette pour regarder un film ensemble.

My new darling

Today I finally got my new darling! My Nikon D5100! I might be the happiest girl in the world right now haha! ;) And of course, on our way back we went in to some other shops and I came home with some new items again :) At the moment the Nikon is charging and I'm on my way to see one of my closest friends in town so you will see photos from the new camera in a later post! I can't wait! Have a nice evening everyone!


Aujourd'hui j'ai enfin eu mon nouveau chéri! Mon Nikon D5100! Je suis probablement la plus heureuse des filles au monde maintenant haha! ;) Et bien évidemment, sur le chemin du retour, nous nous sommes arrêtés dans d'autres magasins et je suis rentrée à la maison avec de nouveaux articles, encore :) Le Nikon est en train de charger et je suis sur le point de rejoindre une de mes meilleures amies en ville, vous verrez donc les photos prises avec le nouvel appareil dans un prochain post! A friend's vernissage

On saturday we went to one of my friend's photo exhibition in town. He has spent eight months in Botswana where he was part of a project to create a rehabilitation unit for people with spinal cord damages at the Princess Marina Hospital in Gabarone. During this time he took a lot of pictures and at this vernissage he showed some of them. We really enjoyed it, the pictures were amazing and we could enjoy some good wine and snacks.

Samedi après-midi, nous nous sommes rendus à une exposition de photos de l'un de mes amis dans le centre-ville. Il a séjourné au Botswana pendant huit mois où il a pris part à un projet de création d'un centre de réhabilitation pour les personnes victimes de dommages à la moelle épinière à l'hôpital de la Princesse Marina à Gabarone. Pendant cette période, il a pris de nombreux clichés et ce vernissage avait pour but d'en montrer certains. Nous avons vraiment apprécié cette sortie, les photos étaient extraordinaires et nous avons eu le droit à un apéritif composé de vin et de petits-fours.
